Frequently asked questions
- What counts as an “active project”?
- Any project with at least one subcontractor currently assigned or in the bidding phase. Closed-out projects don’t count toward your cap.
- Can I add more user seats?
- Yes. The first 10 seats are included in every plan. Additional seats are $19 per seat per month.
- How does payment processing work?
- Nexus Build processes subcontractor payments via ACH (0.8 % + $0.50 per transaction) or card (2.9 % + $0.30). Lien waiver collection is built into the payment flow.
- What happens if I exceed my project cap?
- Each additional active project over your tier limit is $25 per month. You’ll see a clear notification before the charge applies.
- Is there a contract or can I cancel anytime?
- All plans are month-to-month. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings.
- Do subcontractors need to pay for access?
- No. Subcontractors use a free portal to upload documents, view bid requests, and track payment status. There is no cost on the vendor side.
